These plates are to extend the mounting locations of the factory ones. Allowing you to use the stock trans brace with these welded on. Typically these are needed only when fitting a 6 speed manual for V8 6 speed(Getrag) or ZF E46 6 speed transmissions.
Built with 3/16" A36 steel, These brackets are trimmable if the full length is not needed for your application. It is recommended to source 2 more (2 already installed on the car) Square-headed bolts for added support. BMW Part# 23711130250
